A full week of exciting trail maintenance on the ALT.
Will be somewhere in the Blackwater Falls Area as will the 2012 W5 Trail Maintenance Week.
Mountain Biodiversity Adventure at
Blackwater Falls State Park along the Allegheny Trail-- June 22-24, 2012
An event that is great for the entire family. Join experienced and knowledgeable leaders on field trips to various locations in the surrounding area to explore
biodiversity in the mountains of West Virginia. No subject is safe from the explorers of biodiversity in the ecosystem surrounding Blackwater Falls State Park.

Allegheny Trail Cooperators' Meeting & Board Meeting -- August 25, 2012
The last Saturday in August of every year. at 1pm. Trail volunteers, adopt-the-trail maintainers, agency cooperators, private land-owning cooperators, and WVSTA officers meet to discuss issues and opportunities of the Trail. Board Meeting following around 3 or 4PM. The location TBA later on this webpage and in the Whoop-n-Holler newsletter.
Trek Ground Crew Recon Weekend -- TBD

Allegheny Trek -- Friday-Sunday of Columbus Day Week-end each year. Oct 5-8, 2012
A 25-mile backpacking trek fund-raiser to benefit Camp Mountain Heart and the WV Scenic Trails Association (WVSTA). Camp Mountain Heart provides a summer camp experience for children with heart disease. WVSTA is the organization that built and maintains the Allegheny Trail, WV's only long-distance hiking trail.
Will be in the Blackwater Falls Area of the Allegheny Trail.
Trek Reunion -- Reunion of hikers from the current year's Trek.
