The West Virginia Scenic Trails Association, Inc,
(WVSTA) developed and continues to maintain the State’s
first long-distance hiking trail----the 300 mile Allegheny
Trail.
WVSTA has over 20 years of experience conducting
backpacking fund raising events, and would like to invite you
to participate this years 3-day, 25 mile backpacking trip. This
hike is suitable for beginners, who will have the benefit of
support from a ground crew, as well as the camaraderie of
experienced backpackers.
TREK 2010 will be along Glady Creek on the Allegheny Trail
near Elkins, WV. Information about the gathering and
camping spot for Friday night will be available in August.
Your $25.00 registration fee received by Sept 4th reserves your
collectable TREK t-shirt, and victory luncheon.
Reservations received after the deadline are not
guaranteed a shirt.

Its never too early to begin collecting pledges.
Seventy-Five percent of the proceeds from this years trek
will benefit WVSTA to further Trail development.
Twenty-Five percent will be donated to Camp Mountain
Heart, a camp for youth with heart problems.
The TREK is designed to allow even the occasional
backpacker to enjoy a wonderful weekend in the woods. New
backpackers can take advantage of veteran backpackers’
expertise before the TREK and obtain advice on gear, food,
and packing tips.
